Paid Research Study: Emotion Regulation and Brain Activity fMRI Study at Mount Sinai

Description for the Emotion Regulation and Brain Activity fMRI Study at Mount Sinai


Are you experiencing intense emotional ups and downs, impulsive behavior, overwhelming anger, or fear of being abandoned? Do you often feel empty or struggle with unstable relationships? Is “all or nothing” thinking something you relate to? Researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai are conducting a study to explore ways to help people with borderline personality disorder manage their emotions more effectively. Participants in the study will be randomly assigned to receive 12 sessions of a specific emotion regulation training and will undergo fMRI brain scans at both the start and during the training process.


Requirements for Paid Research Study


  • Participants must be medically healthy

  • Between the ages of 18-55

  • Lives in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut)


Compensation


The compensation for the study is up to $435
