About the Research Study on Stress and Sleep During Pregnancy in Latinas

The Lugo Lab at Columbia University's Department of Psychiatry is conducting a year-long study examining stress and sleep during childhood and pregnancy. They are seeking participants who identify as Latinx/Hispanic and are currently pregnant. Participants will be compensated for their time, and we offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability. The study involves a prenatal interview, sleep assessment, saliva collection, a behavioral video evaluation, and four follow-up interviews after your baby is born. You will also have the opportunity to participate in assessments of your infant’s brain development. Most of the study procedures, except for the brain assessment, can be completed remotely with minimal in-person contact!


Eligibility for Study on the Impact of Childhood and Pregnancy Stress on Sleep During Pregnancy in Latinas

  • Must be pregnant

  • Identify as Latina/Latinx


Compensation

Participants will be compensated up to $515 total for the study.
